I recently received my Texas powerbar “ body building bar”, thank you. I’ve been lifting for over 30 years as an athlete mostly but now chasing lean mass and physique and strength gains as I get a little older.
I’ve used many bars over the years never really noticing much difference. Past 6 years I’ve been on an Ohio bar, it’s a good bar and I can move weight well on it. I often wished it had different marking and wished the grip had better touch but I just accepted it for what it was.
Months back a friend had me try his body builder bar and it’s like I was out in a spaceship. This bar you made is special the grip is exceptional , hand spacing fits my 6’3 frame like a glove. Now to push weight with a 27mm bar ( whoever came up with this should get a raise!!!). From the moment you rack to re-rack the bar feel alive or connected to you, it’s hard to explain but it's a really amazing feeling. That bar feel as if it's apart of me pushing. While not a power lifter I will be breaking my pr with this bar in coming month on bench and squat.
